Our second live surgery and injections course, Advanced Aesthetic Rhinoplasty, Otoplasty, and Facial Contouring, which took place in St.Petersburg on October 24-26, 2014, proved a highlight of the year in the world of plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures.

The audience was impressed by the expertly designed agenda, the stellar line-up of lecturers, and the number and geographical diversity of the participants.

On the first two days, famous plastic surgeons Bahman Guyuron, Richard E. Davis, Jay Calvert, Alan Landecker, Nazim Cerces, Wolfgang Gubisch, Ralph Magritz, and Yves Saban performed ten complex operations (rhinoplasty and otoplasty) that were broadcast live. The third day was dedicated to various facial contouring techniques (lipofilling and filler injections) and non-surgical rhinoplasty.

The three days of the event were filled with live broadcasts of surgical operations and procedures. Thirty lectures and 15 exclusive interactive video presentations were delivered in the two conference rooms hosting the event. Round tables and open discussions offered an opportunity to share priceless knowledge about the most important issues in plastic surgery today. A two-way communication channel between the conference rooms and the operating rooms enabled discussion during the operations, while coffee breaks provided a welcoming setting for face-to-face conversations.

The venue, like last year, was the Corinthia Nevsky Palace, one of the best five-star hotels in St.Petersburg. The operations were performed at the Academy of Plastic Surgery, Atribeaute Clinique.

On October 25, the participants were treated to a traditional gala dinner. This time we invited them to the Podvorye, a restaurant specializing in Russian cuisine.

Spectacular as the event turned out, the organizers believe it can be made even more exciting. In October 2015, we will be offering a richer programme: primary, secondary, and tertiary rhinoplasty, aesthetic and reconstructive otoplasty, facial contouring with implants and autologous fat grafts, non-surgical lipo contouring, medical rhinoplasty, correction of post-rhinoplasty defects, and contouring of the periorbital, cheekbone, and temple areas, lips, and the middle and bottom parts of the face.

We will focus on the details and discuss the nuances of innovative techniques in osteotomy, sutures at the tip of the nose, various lateral crus transfer options, retracted nostril correction, aesthetic otoplasty addressing deformation, and post-surgery nose contouring.
